Autumn

Burghley Young Event Horse Final. (The very wet Friday!)Jamestown, wet and fearless wallowed through the mud producing a beautiful dressage, scoring 29 marks and just rolling one pole in the jumping. Overall a fantastic achievement especially in such English conditions.

Later in the month Jamestown and Dakota start their campaign to qualify for the Spillers Combined Training. Jamestown 2nd in the Novice at Western Lawns and then 1st in the Prelim at Fieldhouse with Dakota also winning the Novice on the same day both getting a mention in the Horse and Hound, Job done! Good luck for their finals at Hartpury next year.

Our penultimate event of the season Oasby an Open Pre Novice run for Dakota with a convincing win, a warm up for the 5yr old Championships next month.

Jamestown and Katherine very sadly unable to compete at Stoneleigh in the Prelim National Championships due to Katherine's elbow still being in plaster and a rider change not allowed. A very big disappointment for us all.

Rebecca Kirkland's debut outing, a quiet dressage show at Vale View riding Silvano Blues (Mcauley) gaining 3rd and 1st with 71.9% and qualifying for the 2nd round of the Trailblazers. Also, Congratulations to her on passing her BHS Stage II exam.

And finally to end our season, a long trip to Tweseldown with Newmiln Dakota. A fantastic day coming 2nd in the 5yr old Championships and winning the prize for the highest placed British Bred Mare, donated by the Welton Stud. 'a very big thanks to them'.

Also many many thanks to Caroline Moore, Dakotas competition rider.
